Claire’s real-life lead role – not with a corgi but a cavapoo!
AS THE Queen, she was devoted to her beloved corgis.
In real life, however, it seems Claire Foy prefers a cavapoo to keep her company.
The actress, who played the Queen in first two series of Netflix drama The Crown, was spotted walking a dog in north London last week.
The playful puppy was ‘leaping around and stopping and starting’ as Miss Foy, 38, juggled her shopping bags and a drink. The pet, which appeared to be around six months old, was wearing a collar adorned with a bone.

Miss Foy has also worked with poodles on A Very British Scandal, the BBC drama in which she played Margaret, Duchess of Argyll.
Of working with corgis on The Crown, she said: ‘Dogs are quite perceptive and if you talk to them they tend to look in your direction. Often they don’t. That was probably just lucky. I definitely don’t have some sort of Dr Dolittle secret!’
