Ukraine takes out another warship

UKRAINE claimed last night it had taken out another of Vladimir Putin’s prized Black Sea fleet ships in a missile strike.

Weeks after the flagship Moskva was sunk, the Russian navy’s Admiral Makarov warship was said to be on fire, with other vessels and helicopters going to its aid.

Unconfirmed images on social media showed black clouds billowing into the sky above the £300million state-of-the-art ship.

Ukrainian sources said the strike used surface-skimming Neptune missiles, the same rockets that sunk the Moskva.

Ukrainian news sources said the ship was badly damaged ‘but remains afloat for now’.
