HATS off to Spice Girl Mel B, left, who has been awarded an MBE for services to charity and vulnerable women. The singer became a patron of the charity Women’s Aid in 2018 after leaving what she described as an abusive relationship, and has since become a vocal supporter of women experiencing domestic violence. Many pop stars past and present do little more than wade around in their own money, posting self-indulgent selfies on Instagram and raking in the royalties. Refreshing to see Mel B, once a real tearaway, use her fame and power to lift up other women.
