BOYES IS POSITIVELY LOVING LIFE AT LIVI
LIVINGSTON defender Morgan Boyes feels he is adapting well to life after Liverpool. The 21-year-old moved to the West Lothian club on a permanent contract in January after ending his long association with the Anfield side. Despite being unable to make the grade at Liverpool, Boyes viewed his move to Livingston as a positive step in his career and is delighted with the way things have gone so far. ‘I’ve found the transition of leaving Liverpool and coming here easier than I expected,’ he said. ‘I’ve slotted in straightaway and it’s been good so far. ‘I wouldn’t say there was a disappointment at leaving Liverpool but I’d been there since I was seven years old, so the main thing I wanted when I came here was to get a good run of games and first-team experience at a high level.’ Callum Davidson, meanwhile, wants St Johnstone to play with courage today as they continue their fight to avoid relegation. The Saints boss was unhappy with the performance in the 1-0 defeat by St Mirren last week and is looking for a big improvement in the final three fixtures of the season. Saints are five points ahead of bottom side Dundee and Davidson acknowledged the importance of the trip to Livi. He said: ‘I’m looking for a good performance and courage from the players to get on the ball. If they do, we’ll create chances.’
