Indyref 2 uphill struggle

-

NICOLA Sturgeon appears to have given up any hope of fixing the broken services which she and her cabal have undermined since coming to power.

no matter how many ‘initiatives’ she announces, these are the same old empty statements, with endless sums of money thrown at problems of their own making, in the forlorn hope this will cure the ailment.

Clearly the First Minister has given up as she rolls out her ‘nuclear option’, Indyref 2. How many times have the faithful been marched to the top of the hill only to be told ‘the time is not right’?

Of course, the council election result, where pro-independence parties won 488 seats and pro-Union parties won 583, is seen by the SNP as a clarion call for Indyref 2.

Could this error be the result of years of falling standards in literacy and numeracy? It looks as though a lot of shoe leather will be worn out marching up that hill again. GRAHAM WYLLIE, Airdrie,
