Kate’s bee tribute to Arena bomb victims

- By Rebecca English Royal Editor

KATE Middleton wore earrings with Manchester’s bee emblem yesterday at the unveiling of a monument to victims of a terror attack in the city.

Her husband Prince William, 39, appeared to hold back his emotions as he praised the Glade of Light memorial to the Manchester Arena atrocity.

He said the tranquil garden around a marble ‘halo’ was ‘a counter to the violence and hateful disregard for human life that caused this tragedy’.

Children were among the 22 people murdered at the end of an Ariana Grande concert in

May 2017. A rendition of Beyonce’s Halo by two local choirs brought many of those at the ceremony to tears.

The monument carries the names of the victims along with memories and mementoes provided by loved ones.

Kate, 40, paired her earrings with a grey Michael Kors coat she first wore in 2014.
