Four parties and a wedding for Viscount
AFTER securing her parents’ approval via video-link, the Earl of Bradford’s son and heir, Viscount Newport, and Latvian-born Eliza Liepina head to the altar on Saturday for the year’s most sumptuous society wedding.
‘It must be costing half a million — there are four parties,’ I’m told as excitement mounts at Weston Park, the former family seat in Shropshire.
‘There’s a dinner on Thursday [tonight], a drinks party on Friday, a black-tie dinner for 190 on Saturday and a brunch on Sunday.’
Tantalisingly, the estate church holds only 120, so guests who ‘can’t fit in’ can watch on a screen in Weston’s dining room.
