FREE FLIGHTS TO CORFU

CV VILLAS is offering free return charter flights from Gatwick to Corfu as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. Bookings must be made by Monday for travel between May 30 and June 27 and can be for up to 12 people sharing a villa (cvvillas.com).

ESCAPE TO SHETLAND

LOGANAIR has launched twice-weekly flights between London City and Sumburgh on the southern tip of Shetland. Flying time is three-and-a-half hours with a stop in Dundee and fares include 15kg of checked baggage (loganair.co.uk, shetland.org).

HONG KONG LINK

CATHAY Pacific is now flying from Heathrow and Manchester to Hong Kong. The airline has a Fly (Worry) Free policy that allows unlimited, fee-free ticket changes up to December 31, 2022, plus one more free change before December 31, 2023 (cathaypacific.com).

DIRECT TO PERTH

QANTAS will resume its non-stop service from Heathrow to Perth on May 23 with the outbound flight taking almost 17 hours. New attractions in the Western Australian capital include a riverfront Ritz-Carlton hotel and the heritage-themed Boola Bardip Museum (qantas.com; destinationperth. com.au).

NEW ICELAND SERVICE

A NEW airline, Niceair, will start flying between Stansted and Akureyri in north Iceland, pictured, on June 3 with fares from £240 return.

The direct service offers a fast track to a region renowned for its scenic drives, whalewatching and geothermal baths (niceair.is, northiceland.is).

BANGKOK BOUND

TAIWANESE carrier EVA Air will restart flights between Heathrow and Bangkok on July 3, operating three days a week, with fares from £809 return (evaair.com).

MORE NEWCASTLE ROUTES

RYANAIR is adding ten new services from Newcastle this summer to destinations that include Milan, Menorca, Ibiza, Fuerteventura, Chania

and Zadar. Aer Lingus Regional has started routes from Dublin to the Isle of Man; while Corendon Airlines flies to Dalaman and Antalya in Turkey from Glasgow and Manchester (corendonairlines. com, ryanair.com, aerlingus.com).

NIP TO NICE

AIR France will operate a direct flight between Heathrow and Nice from July 9 to August 28, with fares from £90 return. Close to the city’s tramway, the four-star Sonder at Yelo Jean Médecin hotel has doubles from £79, room only (airfrance.co.uk, sonder.com).

EMIRATES TREATS

EMIRATES will offer a premium economy cabin on its A380 flights from Heathrow to Dubai from August 1. Treats include meals served on Royal Doulton china, a generously sized TV screen and luxurious reclining seats with a pitch of up to 40 inches (emirates.com).
