Dalton Philips, 54 Chief executive, Greencore

THE former boss of Morrisons has joined sandwich maker Greencore. Dalton Philips, who ran Morrisons from 2010 to 2015, will succeed Patrick Coveney in September.

The Irishman, currently chief executive of airports and travel retailer Daa, said: ‘I am hugely excited to be joining Greencore, which is a business I have long admired.’

Greencore, the largest sandwich maker in the world, supplies supermarkets with an array of food including soups, quiches, salads and sushi.
