Harry: I fear for my kids online
PRINCE Harry last night spoke of his fears for his children’s safety online.
The Duke of Sussex, father to three-year-old Archie and Lilibet, 11 months, called for new laws to protect youngsters from harm on the web.
Harry, 37, speaking at the launch of a charity initiative to make the internet safer, made it clear he and his wife, Meghan, 40, didn’t want their children to grow up with social media as it is now.
He told a seminar by non-profit organisation 5Rights Foundation: ‘My wife and I are concerned about a world where young people are growing up as digital experiments... My kids are too young to experience the online world, yet, and I hope they won’t have to experience it as it is now.’
Speaking over Zoom from his £11million mansion in California, Harry added that ‘the way we use the online world isn’t working. I’m not an expert on law or on technology but I am a father, and I’m lucky enough to be a father with a platform’.
