THE designer Jenny Packham creates dresses that you see shimmering on the red carpet at film premieres or adorning the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge (pictured at the premiere of No Time To Die last year) and Angelina Jolie. The dresses might be beaded, feathered and sequin-strewn, but they are also never over the top or vulgar. Mary Portas talks frocks this morning to Jenny — whose brother is the TV presenter and naturalist Chris Packham — and also hears the perhaps slightly alarming news that flared jeans are flapping back into fashion.
