Feeling sheepish

WHY are animal rights campaigners wasting their efforts on re-wording nursery rhymes (Mail) to generate better attitudes to animals?

Is it because it’s easier than tackling real abuse, such as bears being milked of their bile, overworked donkeys barely able to walk and elephants made to do tricks for tourists?
