After Covid, a gothic revival for Ozzy, 73

- Mail Foreign Service

AS he leaves an LA recording studio, walking stick in hand, it seems the days of charging around stage are long behind Ozzy Osbourne, even if the gothic eyeliner is not. The Black Sabbath hellraiser looked somewhat frail as he was spotted being helped by an assistant into a car outside a recording studio on Tuesday. But the 73-year-old – who was joined on the rare outing by wife Sharon – still dressed the part, wearing all black, with painted nails and signature long hair. It comes just three weeks after it was revealed Osbourne, who has a number of health complications including Parkinson’s disease, had caught Covid for the first time. At the end of last month Mrs Osbourne, 69, pulled out of her new show, The Talk, on TalkTV to return to LA to care for her husband. In a tearful interview she said: ‘We’ve gone two years without him catching Covid and it’s just Ozzy’s luck it would be now.’
