Scrimp and save

WILL we soon be scraping the last vestiges of butter from its wrapper to put on our toast, or adding a drop of water to the empty milk bottle and swilling it round before adding it to the jug?

Will we all be having one bath a week to save hot water? Will the family crowd into the one room that has any form of heating?

Will we be putting our clothes for the next day under the eiderdown so they will be warm to put on in the morning?

I sincerely hope not.
