Boris’s father is a Frenchman!
STANLEY Johnson, the Prime Minister’s father, has appeared on TV to celebrate being granted French citizenship, even though he voted Remain.
Speaking French, the 81-year-old, right, who has since called Brexit ‘probably a good idea’, told news channel BFM: ‘I’m very happy. It means a lot. My mother was born in Paris.’
The former Tory MEP now has all the rights of EU citizenship that Britons lost when his son finally ‘got Brexit done’.
Penzance-born Mr Johnson will officially become a citizen at a ceremony in Paris.
Boris said the news was ‘magnifique’.
