Miller is hoping to make the grade at Motherwell

- MARK WALKER

LENNON MILLER has combined playing for Scotland Under17s at the Euro finals in Israel with taking his exams — and admits he’s also studying to make a first-team impact at Motherwell next season. After defeats against Portugal and Denmark, he’s part of a young side who need to not only beat Sweden tonight but hope for an unlikely combination of results going their way to qualify for the next stage.

Miller has loved being tested by better players, even though he’s also had to take his history and biology exams in the Scotland camp in Tel Aviv. Now he’s hoping to learn even more under Fir Park boss Graham Alexander next term. He said: ‘It’s been good for me at Motherwell. I just want to push on and try and make my first team debut next year.’
