Tartan Army to travel

-

ThE Tartan Army should be able to travel to and from next week’s vital World Cup qualifier using public transport despite ScotRail cuts, the Transport Minister has said.

Jenny Gilruth yesterday told MSPs ScotRail will announce a plan to prevent travel chaos ahead of Scotland’s match against Ukraine next Wednesday at hampden Park in Glasgow. Under the emergency timetable, the last trains from Glasgow to Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth leave before the match has even kicked off at 7.45pm, while even those travelling to Edinburgh face a race to get back from the stadium for the 10.15pm service.

Miss Gilruth said: ‘ScotRail is aware of the impact [of a] reduced timetable. it is being reflected by ScotRail in terms of how they will address that.’
