Jodie’s tears of joy as her West End debut heads for Broadway

JODIE Comer has tearfully revealed that she will swap the West End for the bright lights of Broadway next year with her acclaimed one-person play.

The star, 29, has dazzled as Tessa in Suzie Miller’s Prima Facie. She took to Instagram to tell her fans: ‘I love you Tess, we’re going to BROADWAY!’

Her character is a brilliant barrister of working class origins who has risen to the top of the profession, when a vicious attack by a colleague leaves her reeling.

The Liverpool-born actress was lauded for her role as assassin Villanelle in BBC spy thriller Killing Eve. She won the leading actress Bafta this year for her role in Channel 4’s Help, about a care home during the pandemic.
