Whistle for it

GOOD for Amanda Holden, welcoming wolf-whistles (Mail). I fondly remember in 1993, two days into a holiday, walking through downtown San Francisco, then regarded as the ‘gay capital of the world’, with my wife.

She was dressed Amanda Holden-style, wearing 5in heels and a white leather micro-skirt with matching jacket, her blonde hair cascading over her shoulders. Wolf-whistles were raining down from everywhere. Her smile was an absolute picture — until I told her the wolf whistles were for me.
