EY gives women a rise

eY has promoted a record number of its staff in the uK to partner level this year – including a greater number who are women or from ethnic minorities.

the Big Four accountant has added 120 equity partners, 75 of whom who have been promoted internally and 45 hired from outside the business. of the partners, 36pc are women and 23pc are from ethnic minority background­s, including two who are black. By July 2025, eY wants 40pc of its equity partners to be female and 20pc to be from ethnic minority background­s.

Currently, of its 844 equity partners 26pc are women and 15pc are from ethnic minorities – both up by two percentage points over the past year.
