Police officer accused of ‘groping’ woman in flat

- By Connor Gordon

A WOMAN claims she was sexually assaulted by a police officer after he brought her teenage daughter home.

She alleges Dilexan Aloysious, 28, repeatedly groped her, tried to kiss her on the mouth and asked to go to the bedroom with her at a flat in Glasgow on September 2, 2020.

Yesterday, a jury at Glasgow Sheriff Court heard a 999 call after the alleged incident in which the woman is heard to say the officer brought her teenage daughter home at 6am.

The woman claimed the officer touched her on the arm and told her ‘You are sexy as f***.’

She stated the officer told her that he was ‘trying to comfort’ her and would return later. In her evidence, the woman said Aloysious returned after 8.30am. She said: ‘He was in full uniform and I had no reason to doubt him whatsoever.’

She left him in the Ruchill flat while she took her younger children to school. She returned at 9am and asked if he was there in relation to the earlier matter. She claimed he said: ‘No, I came back to see you.’

It is alleged Aloysious sexually assaulted the woman over her clothing and uttered sexual remarks towards her. It is also alleged he kissed her, exposed himself, asked her to perform a sex act and assaulted her under her clothing. Aloysious denies the charges. The trial continues before Sheriff Joan Kerr.
