Rishi was right

OUR country’s finances would have been safer in the hands of a prime minister with a sound economic background.

Just about everything Rishi Sunak warned would happen has come to pass, although as it is party conference season, he is denied the opportunity to stand up in Parliament and say: ‘I told you your economic policy would be disastrous.’

Let’s hope that our new Chancellor has some idea how to fix this mess.
