FOUNDED in 2018 by ex-BBC journalist Genia Mineeva, BEEN London is a British accessories brand using 100 per cent certified recycled materials to make its entire collection. Transforming landfill-bound plastics into silky linings and zips, fishing nets abandoned at sea into nylon textiles, and repurposing pineapple leaves and apple peels into vegan leather alternatives, Genia creates
timeless and colourful totes, cross-body and make-up bags and laptop cases. Everything is manufactured by an
all-female team in East London, and the brand’s zero-waste design approach means its carbon footprint is almost ten times smaller than a High Street equivalent. Prices start at £38 for a coin purse.
