No txt spoken

I GREATLY enjoyed Jonathan Brocklebank’s column about text messages (Mail).

It reminded me of a time when I was in a bar in Spain and I got a text message from my stepson about picking us up from the airport when we got home. I couldn’t understand any of it!

The other customers at the bar were amused when I said that I can speak English fluently, have a limited conversation in Spanish, know a lot of French and some German but I don’t speak txt!
