Neilson banned from dugout for cup derby

-

HEARTS manager Robbie Neilson will have to sit in the Easter Road stand for Sunday’s Scottish Cup derby against Hibs. Neilson has picked up a two-match ban as a result of his dismissal in his team’s 1-0 victory over St Mirren last Friday. The 42-year-old has accepted the offer of a one-match ban after being charged with misconduct by the Scottish FA. He also received an automatic one-match ban after picking up four yellow cards. The Tynecastle boss will be banned from the touchline for the league contest at Livingston on January 29. Meanwhile, defender Stephen Kingsley has warned Hibs that Hearts didn’t hit peak form in thrashing Aberdeen 5-0 at home on Wednesday. ‘We knew it would still be a tough game, as it is any time we play them, so I’m just delighted we won, first and foremost, and with the manner we played,’ stated Kingsley. ‘I think we can still play a lot better. I don’t think we played anywhere near our best. It is only positive getting that result against a team like Aberdeen when we are going into a big game on Sunday. ‘We have certainly played better than we have in that one and not got that kind of result. Sometimes, that can happen.’
