ALISTAIR JOHNSTON 6.5 Shuttled up and down the right to try and support attacks and sought to impose himself physically.

TOMOKI IWATA 5.5 Given the nod to start at centre-back. Preference for midfield showed in some of his positioning.

CARL STARFELT 7.0 Steady contribution from the big Swede who did what little serious defending was necessary.

GREG TAYLOR 7.0 Regularly shifted infield to help build attacks and linked well with Jota to end a strong personal season.

CALLUM McGREGOR 7.0 Had Shaw in his face throughout early stages. Burst forward to tee up Abada for the second goal.

REO HATATE 5.5 Surprisingly off-key with his passing, particularly in the opening period, and grew visibly frustrated.

MATT O’RILEY 7.5 Darting run and cross created the opening goal. A lively presence before making way.

JOTA 7.0 Usual nimble touches from the Portuguese. Dispelled any nerves by converting Abada’s cross to seal win.

KYOGO FURUHASHI 7.0 Made the difference. First class movement to get in front of Devine and thump in a brilliant finish.

DAIZEN MAEDA 4.5 Industry without much creative output. Suffered a knock and was replaced by Abada at the break.

MARK RIDGERS 6.0 Caley’s veteran keeper had no chance with the goals and made a couple of good saves.

WALLACE DUFFY 7.0 Fine performance on the right side of defence was capped with a lovely delivery for MacKay’s goal.

ROBBIE DEAS 6.0 Tough shift up against Furuhashi but he was solid and can be proud of his performance.

DANNY DEVINE 5.0 Lost Furuhashi for the opener and caught out of position at quick freekick for Abada’s goal.

CAMERON HARPER 6.0 Former Scotland Under21s defender coped well with Celtic’s various threats down the right.

SCOTT ALLARDICE 6.0 Midfielder put in a terrific shift amid the stifling heat for the welldrilled Highland side.

SEAN WELSH 6.0 Captain led by example in the middle of the park. Vocal in organising those around him.

NATHAN SHAW 5.0 One half-chance in the first half from a good Duffy cross, but his opportunities were limited.

BILLY MCKAY 5.0 Veteran forward worked hard for the cause but was isolated up front and never really caused problems.
