Harmony at home key for Celtic, insists Hart
JOE HART believes the reestablishment of a united front at Celtic has helped put the team in pole position in the title race. Brendan Rodgers’ side delivered arguably their best performance of the season to see off Hearts 3-0 on Saturday to inch them closer to a third successive Premiership crown. Five months after Celtic were booed off after losing against the same opposition at Parkhead, a sparkling display had the home fans in raptures. And keeper Hart feels the power generated in two-way transmission between the team and supporters could be decisive as the finishing line comes into view. ‘That doesn’t come easily and it’s not a fluke,’ he stressed. ‘It’s down to hard work and the fans realising that we are in a battle and we’re putting it all on the line. ‘We really appreciate them and it was an amazing atmosphere to play in. But it can only be like that if we perform and show we are putting everything on the line. We were really united on Saturday and I really enjoyed it. ‘We’re part of something, we’re together and united and we’ve got a common goal. You can’t underestimate that feeling. ‘The atmosphere is only like that when we play like that.’ Saturday’s victory came on the back of wins against Aberdeen and Dundee that were achieved despite flawed performances. Warning that there was still room for improvement, Hart added: ‘I don’t think we were brilliant, I still know we’ve got levels. We started a bit slow, but football isn’t perfect. To keep winning every game is not easy.’
