Vile ‘eunuch maker’ gets life for sick online ops

- By George Odling Crime Correspondent

A self-styled ‘eunuch maker’ who mutilated paying customers and streamed the gruesome surgeries online has been jailed for life.

Marius Gustavson made more than £300,000 from his sick website between 2017 and 2021 by finding vulnerable people and coercing them into undergoing procedures such as castrations.

the Norwegian national, 46, was arrested after using a red hot iron to brand a man’s calf with the letters ‘eM’ for eunuch Maker, the name of the site.

He was even filmed having part of his own genitalia removed and had his own leg amputated in 2019 after an accomplice froze it.

Gustavson, 46, of Haringey, london, claimed £18,500 in disability benefits after losing the leg.

‘Little short of human butchery’

He admitted charges including grievous bodily harm and was given life with a minimum term of 22 years by Judge Mark lucraft yesterday at the Old Bailey.

six others who worked for his site – including a retired chemist and trainee vet – pleaded guilty to similar charges and were jailed for terms ranging from four-and-a-half to 12 years.

One of those, Ion Ciucur, 30, of Gretna Green, dumfriesshire, was given five years and eight months after admitting taking part in a castration. Hotel worker Ciucur, a Romanian national, was described as ‘part of Gustavson’s inner circle’.

Almost 23,000 subscribers paid to watch the ops, including a VIP service costing £100 a year.

Judge lucraft told the court Gustavson’s motivation ‘was a mix of sexual gratification as well as financial reward’.

He added: ‘some of what happened was little short of human butchery.’
