Looking further ahead, mainstream market recovery is expected to fuel buyer activity further up the market from 2016 onwards. Savills’ latest research suggests that Scottish mainstream values are set to rise by 17.5% in Scotland within the next five years, compared to a rise of 19.5% across the UK as a whole. Values in the prime market in Scotland are also set to rise by 17.5% over the next five years, compared to around 24% for the UK as a whole.
