FINDERS BUT NOT KEEPERS

A campaign has been launched to ensure that Highland anglers practice catch and release of salmon on waters where a new ban on taking the fish has been put in place. Police officers and a network of local water bailiffs will be on patrol to tackle those who fail to obey the new regulations, which came in to effect on April 1, running directly on from the existing spring conservation measures.
