WEST, independent brewery, has launched innovative new beer schnapps ‘Bierbrand’. Developed in association with Glasgow Distillery Company, the beer, created by the distillation of bold wheat beer, Bierbrand (40% ABV), is a clear, distinctive spirit. WEST founder Petra Wetzel said: ‘During the conversion of beer to spirit, the aromas of pear drops, banana, toast, malted grains, pepper and clove become intense.
