The fu­ture of two en­dan­gered species of in­sects looks brighter fol­low­ing im­por­tant dis­cov­er­ies in the Cairn­gorms Na­tional Park over the sum­mer months. Sight­ings of the pine hov­er­fly and the small scabi­ous min­ing bee were made by Rare In­ver­te­brates in the Cairn­gorms, a three year part­ner­ship pro­ject to save six of Scot­land’s rarest in­sects. www.rspb.org.uk
