Pat Renson’s advice on getting the look
1. Create a self-contained workspace away from the family living area.
2. The odd ‘on-trend’ piece or colour is fine but avoid too many to make sure your design stands the test of time.
3. Make the design appropriate to the style of the property.
4. To unify space and create cohesion between rooms keep a thread of colour running through the design.
5. Mix lots of shades and textures to prevent the scheme from appearing bland.
