Windows on the Past

-

It’s a surprising early summer’s day on Loch Fyne. Local resident Stephen looks out at the lush and vibrant green hills across the sparkling loch, smiling in front of his window, recently given a new lease of life with InvisiTherm®. “The result is superb. It’s virtually invisible and the resulting noise reduction is an added bonus. I’m now looking forward to lower heating bills in the future.”

Such high praise is music to Glaze & Save CEO Dr Tanya Ewing’s ears. Customer satisfaction is at the heart of Perth-based multi-awarding winning secondary glazing and draught proofing company Glaze & Save. And with a legion of ecstatic customers, many of whom were referred by other equally happy customers, it is a heart that beats healthily.

“We always knew that InvisiTherm® was something special,” Tanya smiles. “But we didn’t realise just quite how special it was until we started receiving feedback from our customers. Whether installing in a domestic cottage or in a grand castle, the results are often life changing for the people living or working there. Our customers become our biggest ambassadors of InvisiTherm®, and feels great to know we are making such a positive change.”

And no wonder their customers are so keen to shout about InvisiTherm®. Laying claim to 2017’s VIBES Award for Environmental Product of the year, InvisiTherm® is an all-in-one window solution that eradicates many of the common issues experienced with windows in traditional buildings, all without the need to replace the original window. It’s no wonder that InvisiTherm® has been installed in prestigious buildings such as Inveraray Castle, Ardkinglas Estate and Stephen’s own little palace.

“InvisiTherm® effectively turns your single glazing into double glazing,” explains Tanya. “It reduces heat loss through single glazed windows by 63%, meaning our customers can see their utility costs reduced by a minimum of 22.5%. It also reduces noise by at least 58%, which can have a real impact on the tranquility of the home. It even eradicates condensation, which is a blight on many of our customer’s homes. All in all InvisiTherm® allows our customers to enjoy a warmer, quieter and draught-free home”.

But InvisiTherm® is not just for the winter. “It really is a year-round product,” smiles Tanya. “InvisiTherm® reduces the heat of the sun by 27%, meaning rooms are cooler, and it completely blocks ultraviolet rays, which stops sun damage on artworks, photographs, furnishings, anything in the home really”.

Not only that, but InvisiTherm® is completely unobtrusive. “We take great care to ensure that our systems work around existing period features, and we have a range of bespoke colour matching options available so our systems are virtually invisible, even from inside the house,” Tanya explains. ‘We can install InvisiTherm® where there are working shutters, and can work around existing window brassware. Glaze & Save provides a fully bespoke service with InvisiTherm® systems that are so discrete that they generally don’t require planning permission”.

In keeping with Glaze & Save’s environmental ethos, InvisiTherm® is completely non-invasive. “We want to encourage people to keep their original windows, to appreciate that the quality isn’t something they will get with replacement windows,” Tanya explains. “It’s our responsibility to preserve our built heritage, and part of that is retaining windows in their original state. We help our customers do that, while demystifying many of the issues that people experience when owning a traditional building”.

InvisiTherm® bespoke magnetic secondary glazing can be installed in any property over any type of glaze. Call now on 01738 562068 to arrange your free survey and to find out more about InvisiTherm® today. www.glazeandsave.co.uk
