A new ven­ture from On­dine’s chef pa­tron Roy Brett and Gary Welch, owner of Welch Fish­mon­gers, has opened in Ed­in­burgh. Lo­cated on Ne­whaven Har­bour where boats have landed fish since the 16th cen­tury, the mod­ern sea­side eatery serves up the ul­ti­mate fish and chips, Ne­whaven chow­der, crispy crab claws from Scrabster and grilled Tober­mory lan­goustines and oys­ters. All pro­duce is sourced from sus­tain­able stocks us­ing shell­fish gath­ered up and down the east coast of Scot­land. The Fishmarket is open seven days a week from 11am to 10pm.
