Scottish Field’s round-up of the salerooms, interesting lots and prices
A DEAR DRAM
Bonhams Whisky Sale in Edinburgh made a record-breaking £1,674,125 after selling a star whisky collection. The most expensive bottle was the extremely rare The Macallan Valerio Adami 1926 60 year old which sold for a world record of £848,750. This met its estimate of between £700,000 and £900,000. It is believed that this is the most valuable item ever sold at auction in Scotland.
