Scottish Field met actor Craig McGinlay, a former Scotland under-20 rugby player from Paisley, who hung up his boots after a shoulder injury. He turned to acting by chance, and guest starred in the new series of cult TV show Outlander.

URGENT HELP WANTED TO SAVE KINLOCH CASTLE

A group was set up to raise funds to try prevent beautiful Kinloch Castle, on the Isle of Rum, from crumbling away. Built by industrialist George Bullough at the end of the 19th century as a shooting lodge, fundraisers want to preserve it and re-open it as a hostel, bar and bistro.
