Many residents live with challenges that come with later life including reduced mobility, vision impairment and dementia. Every element of the home environment has been designed not just for comfort and luxury, but also to promote happiness and wellbeing. There are also a number of design elements to help guide and orientate residents to move around the home independently. Where possible, photos, pictures and items of interest around the home have been sourced to build a local connection, create a sense of place and support reminiscence.

Care tailored to the individual

When a new resident joins, the team work with them and their family to learn about their life history and their likes and dislikes, so that a care and activity plan can be developed that is entirely tailored to their unique needs and interests. The chef-led catering team also ensure that individual preferences are factored into their menu plans.

The lifestyle team put together a flexible plan of varied group activities that reflect each resident’s interests, from baking and music sessions to quizzes and seated exercise classes.
