Man mountain

The John Muir Trust has paid tribute to the late Scottish scientist Dr Adam Watson who sadly passed away in January at the age of 88. Dr Watson had an international reputation in the field of mountain ecology and played a key role in the trust for almost 20 years. He was one of only six people to receive a John Muir Trust Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his mountaineering achievements, scientific writing, research and dedicated campaigning to protect and restore the nature and landscapes of his beloved
