A FITTING TRIBUTE
The Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland have revealed details of the inaugural Fairlie Scholarship, which recognises Andrew Fairlie’s significant and lasting contribution to the industry after his sad passing earlier this year. The award is set to be a career-changing experience for aspiring chefs in Scotland. Two chefs will be selected annually to take their culinary experience to the next level and gain once-in-a-lifetime opportunities such as placements at the Culinary Institute of America and Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles. Judges for the prestigious award will include Michelin starred chef Tom Kerridge and Masterchef winner and National Chef of Scotland Gary McLean.
