Glas­gow’s Royal Con­ser­va­toire of Scot­land re­ceived a spe­cial vis­i­tor when Prince Charles at­tended to meet stu­dents from a range of dis­ci­plines. He wasn’t the only vis­i­tor, as a for­mer Con­ser­va­toire grad­u­ate Sam Heughan, star of TV show Outlander, also at­tended.

The fa­mous Three Chimneys restau­rant on Skye was sold by own­ers Shirley and Ed­die Spear af­ter 34 years to Scots born in­ter­na­tional hote­lier Gor­don Campbell Gray as part of his new Scot­tish ho­tel and restau­rant col­lec­tion, The Wee Ho­tel Com­pany.

Max McFarlane, whisky maker for Edring­ton for over 25 years – work­ing on pres­ti­gious names like Fa­mous Grouse and Cutty Sark – has joined the Ardgowan Dis­tillery with a plan to cre­ate and re­lease a new se­ries of whiskies later this year.
