A SEED IS SOWN

Funding is being offered to enhance the research and development of ideas to increase the yield of Scotland’s seed stock. As environmental concerns grow, the Scottish Government has launched a challenge in the hope of growing more young trees from seed, after Doug Knox, for Forestry and Land Scotland, explained that ‘the demand for young trees in Scotland in 2019 was more than double what it was a decade ago’.
