No vacancy
Scotland’s high streets are often blighted by a large number of vacant shop units, but a solution to fill them with a creative edge has been revealed.
Edinburgh Printmakers is leading a scheme to transform unused shops and office spaces into creative hubs, for use as artist studios, rehearsal rooms and community meeting places. It currently has 13 sites spread across Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, Paisley, Falkirk and Grangemouth, as the EP Spaces scheme allows any creatives to use temporary locations and transform them into useful spaces.
