What residents’ families say about care in Edinburgh
“When I arrived to visit I found a group of happy residents singing ‘My Bonnie lies over the ocean’ with a wireless speaker providing music. They later danced ‘The Twist’ and the afternoon ended with a cup of tea. Staff were engaged and very helpful.” Friend of a resident at Cairdean House

“Our family chose Murrayside care home because of the exceptionally caring and friendly staff. The atmosphere from the minute you stepped over the threshold was bright, professional and positive. Every aspect of the design layout was perfect and the interior design was thoughtfully themed, tasteful, but also felt cosy, homely and fresh, where family and friends felt welcome and at ease, with lovely gardens. The head chef took time to discover Mum’s favourite dishes and went out of his way to tempt her, and the housekeeping team kept everything immaculate.
Murrayside was able to provide the specialised care, after suffering a major stroke, which left her almost totally dependent on the nursing team and carers. The level of care was second to none and as a family, we were extremely grateful for this. Both she and the close family were given excellent emotional support by the nurses and carers with many showing exceptional qualities of dedication and a true vocation.”

“I want to thank you and all those who have been involved in my friend’s care so far for doing such a wonderful job in welcoming him to Lauder Lodge and in supporting him during the very important settling in period. His recent comments have really shown us that we have chosen the right home for him and that he is very happy with the care he is receiving.”
