ATRUE TRIUMPH

Rekha Barry has designed the new trophy for the Scottish Album of the Year Awards. The Glasgow-based designer and architect was asked to create the ‘Triumph Award’ by the Local Heroes Design agency. ‘The intention was for it to have a dual purpose – both award and candle holder,’ explained Barry. ‘A triumphal arch is a great reference for me as it is a piece of architecture and a sculpture at the same time.’ sayaward.com
