Scottish eagle crosses Border

-

One of the birds from the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project has flown 90 miles south to the Pennine Hills in England, the project’s organisers have revealed. Beaky is one of four eagles that have been moved to the South of Scotland from the Highlands since the project began in 2018. Cat Barlow, the project’s manager, said: ‘We were particularly excited by Beaky’s exploration into northern England, as she is the first of our birds to explore that far south. There have been no golden eagles breeding in the wild in England for a number of years now.’ The project plans to move more eagle chicks from the Highlands next year. golden eagles south of scotland.co.uk
