DOOR OPENS

Kerry and Derek Campbell, the couple behind plans to open the 8 Doors Distillery at John o’Groats, have sold all 250 of its ‘874 Founders Club’ packages to raise money for their project. The club is named after the number of miles between John o’Groats and Land’s End, while the distillery is named after the eight doors that ferryman Jan de Groot’s installed in his octagonal house, to help stop his seven sons quarrelling over their inheritance. 8doorsdistillery.com
