This year’s Game & Wildlife Conservati­on Trust Big Farmland Bird Count comes to an end on 15 February. Organiser Roger Draycott, said: ‘As custodians of 71% of Britain’s countrysid­e, farmers, land managers, and gamekeeper­s are crucial to the survival of cherished bird species like skylarks, yellowhamm­ers, corn buntings and wild grey partridge.’ bfbc.org.uk
