At Fairview International School, we are proud to deliver the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme to all age groups and our focus is to encourage both personal and academic achievement, challenging students to excel in their studies and personal development. We encourage students to think critically and challenge assumptions, developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed. In many ways the IB at Fairview is a framework that enables us to take our students into a world of knowledge and understanding that stretches well past the classroom and into the wider inquiry about the world around them. A key part of the IB is also that of continued assessment where, rather than the culmination of learning being through a single point, the students progress is guided through that of personal assessment throughout the term delivered by and regulated within their class and student peer group. As a school our efforts through the adaptations of the school day, the physical changes to our campus, and the greater support of learners’ technical and digital requirements ensure that the students personal development and the achievement of their characteristics are of primary importance.

And so, as we head into another year of challenge and disruption in our daily lives with the hope of a return to normality on the horizon, at Fairview International School we reflect on the developments and breakthroughs that the last year has provided to the ongoing development of our students.
