Argyll in bloom

The gardens of the Ardkinglas Estate in Argyll are playing host to the Scottish Rhododendron Festival. Running from

2 April to 30 May, the variety of species, colour and smell of the rhododendrons at Ardkinglas attract both experts and the casual audience. Rhododendrons have been grown at Ardkinglas for a number of years and include some unusual and historic plants, especially a collection of red rhododendron hybrids raised by Lord Glenkinglas. Also on the Bodnant Bank are plants which originated from Bodnant Garden in North Wales.
